Weekend In Baton Rouge With Ignacia and Chloe

This past weekend we did many different activities all over Baton Rouge.

On Saturday, we started off the morning with a brown sugar coffee cake, and then we went to look all around Baton Rouge. Ignacia had her very first trip to Walmart and Canes. At Canes she discovered the sweet tea that she is completely in love with. After that we went home and got ready for the cookout. The cookout was so much fun. The Chilean students taught the U.S. students the Chilean traditional dance called Cueca. Then, the U.S. students taught the Chilean students a dance called Footloose.

On Sunday, we went to Church and then to Frank's, a local resturant at Baton Rouge. Then, we went to Perkins Rowe and we hung out with a few of Chloe's friends. We walked around Perkins Rowe to all the shops and stores. We both bought necklaces from a store called Charming Charlie's, and Igancia found out about tax. Next, we went to the movie theater at Perkins Rowe called Cinemark to see Annie. We both taught the movie was great!

On Monday, we both went to paint the city walls at downtown Baton Rouge. While we were there we found a cool place on the levee to take pictures. Then, Ignacia went to Rosedown Plantation. It was awesome. Before going to the plantation she went to Magnolia café. There Ignacia tried alligator for the first time, and it was delicious. Then she went to the plantation, and it was a really cool place. There were beautiful gardens, and there was a pretty house with a lot of history.

These were taken at the place on the levee.

This was the alligator that Ignacia had for lunch.
